So they are not suing Wilder anymore? Shame I actually wanted them to go ahead and make everyone laugh with their "lawsuit"

I don't think anyone can accuse him of straight ducking, but the implication is that Deontay is using this opportunity to side-step his toughest test.

I imagine that lot of the negative posts are guys who expected Povetkin to expose Wilder, and since they're desperate for that to happen, they seem to be giving the Russian a pass.

Imo, I wouldn't give Povetkin another chance. Who's to say that him and his team aren't in Russia right now trying to find some new undetectable PED.

Says right there they want an investigation and lawsuit. They're just allowing Wilder to take a fight while its worked out.

Yea your take is probably correct with this. There is no logical defense that Wilder should be fighting Povetkin so the people who are saying these things are just making themselves look ******.

Imo, I wouldn't give Povetkin another chance. Who's to say that him and his team aren't in Russia right now trying to find some new undetectable PED.
This is for sure a tricky situation. For all parties maybe. Povetkin & his people just want the fight. Wilder just wants his money & not to fight a guy on a PED. The WBC gots to not look like idiots here (with Wilder or the public at large) cuz they got their 24/7/365 PED testing thing coming up that looks meaningless if they don't make the right move now. And what commission, who is usually laying down the law with positive PED tests & got the most impact, is going to stand up & state claim to some penalty to Povetkin. Its a mess.

But I think its obvious somehow Povetkin needs to be punished even if its some weak 6mos from the dirty test suspension (putting Wilder vs Povetkin at Nov. potentially). That puts Wilder in a more awkward position of needing to stand up & prove himself vs Povetkin or stand up to the bs of the PED aspect of boxing. And either way the fallout from that should be fun to watch.

I know, I wanted them to go with their first reaction....."litigation" for wilder not rescheduling.

The WBC should mandate Wilder to fight the next guy in line. Too bad it's the WBC and the next guy in line is Bermane Stiverne :s
