That's Richie Woodhall as one of the announcers/analyst, who lost to Roy Jones in the 1988 Olympic semi-final. Good guy, Richie.

I thought Richie gave Roy Jones a close fight at the Olympics, from memory. He should of taken the fight with Jones in 1993 that he was offered, he said he wasn't ready yet but when you get offered a world title shot on a plate like that it's hard to turn down.

Who knows what Richie would of achieved if it wasn't for the terrible shoulder injury he suffered, he definately would of beaten Quincy Taylor and Keith Holmes. I liked Richie a lot too - classy, sharp boxer. And he was an extremely hard trainer before the injury.

Well, my man, put it this way - he gave a PEAK Duran a close fight, and Duran is a top-five all-time lb4lber.

top 5? i think that's pushing it just a little bit. i, personally, have him at top 7 but i can see him at top 5. buchanan - ortiz was also one of my all time personal favs. he does have that classic upright british orthodox style that you were talking about.
