Comments Thread For: Liam Smith: IF Canelo Returns To 154, He's Perfect For Me!

Liverpool's unbeaten WBO light-middle boss Liam Smith invested a few hours on reconnaissance in the wee hours of Sunday morning, scrutinising his three rival 154lb belt holders as they performed before BoxNation cameras at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas.

Good breakdown by Beefy. Not only does he know his division, he puts his money where his mouth is

      Who are you ??
If Saul canhellnoggg fights you , he the Bullie will further make the case that he is a joke . Weights 175 and fights smaller 154 .

Hit and not be hit ; can not hit what you don't see .

That Trout fight was anything but clear. You could argue 7-5 either way.

Boxing is such a weird sport. You have 3 "champions" in one division fighting on one night, and the other "champion" was chilling at home betting on them.

I like that he said he will only fight Canelo at 154lbs. Seems like all the fighters are now shunning the Canelo weight. Guess the boy's ego will getting knocked down a few pegs now. No one seems willing to entertain this Caneloweight nonsense anymore, and obviously, people have realised from the Cotto and Khan fights that he is nowhere near as much of a draw as he thought he was.

He's a draw yes, but that's where it ends, he aint no mega draw like Mayweather was. May made 2mil vs Cotto, Canelo couldn't even break 1 mil.

I think that the guys who took the 155 cw (Khan included) took it because they thought it was preparation to move up to 160. But now, after three years of the same ****, everyone sees it for what it is and won't entertain it anymore.

Disagree with Smith on one issue, he said Lara is the best at 154, I think it's Andrade.

It's funny to hear this guy talk about unifying when all he does is defend his strap vs lower ranked competition. His title "reign" seems similar to other UK champs, BJS/Brook/ it's nice to be called a champ but IMO the importance of the title escalates depending on who one defends it against.

154? Just go up to Canelo weight and do a PPV extravaganza. 1lb shouldn't be a stumbling block. His only lack is a US following, Khan went looking for the money, he didn't sit at home expecting a delivery.

Canelo has a lot of options if GGG makes diva demands and ducks the fight.

GGG ducking Canelo--making diva demands, like fighting a MW champ at MW. Just stop! Everyone knows who the diva is.
