Basically, on friday night fights, they essentially said what most of us with a bit of minor intelligence has been saying, mostly the hardcore fans want the margarito fight, and mayweahter is being smart by pursuing a possible de la hoya fight for more money than taking the 8 mil for fighitng margarito.
Espn puts in perspective the BS about Margarito

for some reason espn feels its alright to hate on mexican fighters and i say this because of espns track record and having seen many of their shows, this is a network that was rooting for micky ward to get a big pay day with arturo gatti when their were other ranked fighters more deservingComment

He said whoever wants to see Mayweather-Margarito should just look at the Shane Mosley-Antonio Diaz fight. The outcome would be no diffrent. Mediocre fighter (Diaz & Margarito) runs off winning streak against C, D level fighters. Whines and complaints till he gets title shot. Shows he's completely out of his league in one-sided lost. Fades away, never to be mentioned as a contender again. Same formula. Same results. That Atlas, he sure does know his boxing.Originally posted by pigguWhat did Teddy Atlas say about all this?
