Eddie Hearn's lack of negotiating skills

    1) Takes the credit for making Froch v Groves 2, but the IBF ordered a rematch, forcing Froch to sign on the dotted line and fight Groves again.

    2) Delayed the Quigg v Frampton fight, and in the end, ended up giving Frampton the larger share of the purse to get the fight made.

    3) Went out there and offered Khan £10 Million to fight Brook, and when it came to sign the contracts, reneged on his word and said that it was $10 Million, and subject to PPV Sales.

    4) Is preventing the fight with Crolla and Flanegan from taking place.

    5) Lost purse bids for Eubank Jr and De Gale.

Eddie Hearn is bad for boxing. He is only doing well because he has an exclusive deal with Sky, and that is down to his daddy.

Eddie Hearn cares more about his own pocket, then he does about getting fights made. He is the next Bob Arum.

Are you on the negotiation table to know he's a bad promoter? 95% of the fighters with him do nothing but praise him. And Eubank Jr is back with Eddie so I'm sure he can't be that bad? As far as I can tell he's doing a good job. He's the reason there's a buzz in British boxing. A few questionable PPV's and lost a few purse bids, but so what?

Apart from Joshua and Brook, his entire stable is w+nk. The only reason why 95% of fighters do nothing but praise him is because they are getting paid. They don't even deserve to be put on TV.

Can't say i'm much of a Hearn fan but Frampton was always going to get the bigger split.

Also, in terms of Crolla v Terry Flanagan, apparently the offer Crolla got from Warren was way less than he's already being paid, plus there's issues with TV rights because one fights on Sky and one on BoxNation. Hearn obviously believes Crolla deserves a much bigger split, and he's right.

I agree with some of your other points but he's no different to any other promoter or business man, he's always going to put his own finances as priority over anybody else's. That's life.

Callum Smith is a Matchroom fighter, and he's the future of the SMW division, plus the likes of Quigg, Eubank jr, Selby etc.

I'm not fan of Hearn, but you're being silly.

Like him or not he is a pretty prominent factor in recent years behind some key British developments.

Hearn has his precious broadcast partner and broadcast platform which clouds his sense of worth and achievement, it it's humongous leverage for any negotiation.

Plus you add his ego, his dad and his silver spoon on top....

I am not being a hater, I actually admire the interviews he does on ifl, doesn't have to, although him and kugan are obviously good pals.

He pitches himself that way, wants to become a kind of godfather of boxing business, remember he has the broadcast partner that basically makes this "Big"
