    i think thats a myth

Tyson kept trying vs Douglass and holyfield. He took some hellacious shots, he didnt pack it in. Accumulation did him in. Most people would be ktfo for minutes with the combo Douglass landed. He was still trying to get up on ***** street.

Also Holyfield hit tyson with good shots, some head butts and he kept trying.

After he took that beating from Lewis, it was all down hill. He was old, washed up and not hungry. He was there for a check. If he was a quitter he wouldnt have took that prolonged beating from lewis. Lewis buckled him several times and he stayed upright because of his heart, not his chin.

Tyson gets a bad rap as a front runner....those shots ruddock was landing in both fights was crazy. he kept coming and trying

Agree with this. As Kevin Rooney and even Atlas would say: Tyson will take his beating like a man.

For me, the first guy I think of is Ricardo Mayorga. For all that bluster, way too many fights where he folded once the heat got hot (Cotto, Mosely, DLH, Trinidad)

I think all that " he is a quitter" stems from the holyfield rematch.....if you are being headbutt people react....Tyson bit his ear....floyd knocked ortiz the **** out....different folks, different strokes

Tyson had a lot of heart.....people dont realize how difficult his fight with tony tucker was....6'5" hand speed, skill, good power and Tyson stuck with the game plan and beat him.

some folks need to go back and actually watch the fights and stop depending on reading articles and highlights.

Tyson lost his prime...his best years...he never had a chance to live up to the lofty expectations from the beginning of his career and when he was champion.

He had the talent to be the greatest champion ever at heavyweight. with out a good team and dedication, talent can only take you so far. I think him not living up to those expectations clouded peoples minds on how his career really went and the man's character in the ring.

I thought of Tyson too. Against Lewis, i think when Mike realized he wasnt going to win he made up his mind that he was going to lose with dignity and accept defeat gracefully. Thats why nothing controversial happened at the end and the reason for all the kind words to Lennox, to show people he wasnt all bad like alot of people thought.

One Time Thurman is one of them. He becomes Run Time Thurman.

Actually it was just that Lewis was too big for Tyson to bite his ear or break his arm. It's not that Mike changed lol. It's not that he didn't want to, it's that he couldn't, he's a midget compared to lennox

I think that's Wilder's problem. His chin looks decent, he just reacts really poorly to pressure and getting hit. Flails about rather than putting his guard up and tucking his chin. This should have been corrected by his camp long ago.
