To put it another way for you simpletons. Just because Bill Gates has a networth of 50 billion, does not mean that he has 50 billion dollars in his bank account, or that he could convert all his assets into that kind of money overnight if someone kidnapped his wife/daughter and asked for 40 billion in ransom money.

Floyd definitely doesn't have anywhere near half a billion in the bank. Thats just ****** talk.

He's 39 which means he has a long time of living left and if he wants to maintain the current entourage lifestyle he leads he is going to need another major payday. He has to do this sooner than later for obvious physical reasons so another fight is obviously something he's trying to pull off.

Floyd spends on average about 10,000 per day. That is 3.65MM a year on just common expenditures. This doesn't count trips, nights out at the club spending 100K buying drinks for the entire place, buying his entourage 10K purses, renting out amusement parks for his kids' birthdays, mortgage on that Big Boy mansion, whatever he pays for those 30+ exotic cars that he has, etc.

He lives a lavish lifestyle and that kind of living soaks up money like desert sand soaks up water. He needs to re-up on his funds but unless his habits change, he will never be able to retire.

I didn't know Garcia was an expert on anything financial, yet alone a credible source of telling the truth? Why would Floyd show anything to Garcia about his financials?

Now if a financial expert comes forward and makes the same claim, I'd give it real consideration, as they would know what they're looking at.
              Very true

-cupo- from Boxingscene.com is more credible

My 99mill theory is closer to the truth then your 500mill one.

He has lost close to 40% of his Pacquiao money just on Federal Income taxes.
Count the purses; on PPV alone, Floyd likely made $140m on the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight, at least. You figure Floyd's take on the gate, his share off of the international TV money, the event sponsors, merch, etc and you're talking about clearing $200m on the Pacquiao fight. With $35m as his guarantee for the Berto fight; he likely ended up clearing $50m once everything was counted.

$250m for your final year fighting is a pretty darn good hall, tbh.

Beyond that, Floyd likely paid nowhere near 40% in federal income taxes; the moment that Al Haymon came on board, I have no doubt that he got Floyd to set up Floyd Mayweather LLC (or something to that effect) to act as his pass-through, with those incomes taxed at ~20% (with offsets for certain expenses, like camp expenses on behalf of 'Floyd Mayweather LLC').

Pay Haymon, pay Big Floyd, pay taxes, pay camp expenses, etc and Floyd still clear $150m for his last year as a boxer.

You take that number, add it to the $123m that that ESPN reporter claimed to have seen Floyd show him, Floyd's payday from the Alvarez fight (likely north of $45m-$50m after paying everything), and Floyd's paydays from the 2 Maidana fights (likely clearing $60m-$70m).

Assuming that Floyd had zero before showing the $123m, and you're talking about $400m, at least.

Floyd's got revenues coming in from a host of different sources, while also having a ton of money in hand (though he may not have $500m in the bank, he's closer to $500m than he is to $100m).

Between the annuity that pays him $1m a month till the day he dies, revenues from his TMT brand (Floyd has said that they're selling $25m worth of stuff a year), Mayweather Promotions (staging 15-20 shows per year), and a successful boxing gym, don't disrespect the man.

If anyone needs one more fight, it's that other guy

Even if you're $10,000 per day number was legit (which I doubt), Floyd has already gone public with the knowledge that he's locked into at least an annuity that pays out $12m a year to him, just as a cause of the annuity.
