Personally, and you might call me crazy, I have a sneaking su****ion that GGG detractors do not want this fight to happen. Because let's face it: GGG ruins Jacobs, we all know that. Since Jacobs is a top middleweight, beating him would make GGG look good which would drive the detractors nuts. But if the fight doesn't happen, they can use every excuse in the world as to how its GGG's fault.

Just a theory, I could be wrong of course.
Oh I have no doubt that team Jacobs will wait for the purse bid instead of trying to negotiate a deal... I think he destroys him as well, there's nobody at 160 who will trouble him at the moment...

the detractors will always find excuses

If he beats Lara, oh but hes a jr middleweight though. A pathetic attempt to implement a lose-lose scenario for Golovkin.

Beats Jacobs then he has no chin anyway. The Quillin fight could be a fluke

Saunders isn't a good win already, apparently. Same for Eubank.

Murray lost to Martinez though, even though in reality Murray was a very good win. He arguably beat Martinez, and moved up to beat a solid Abraham.

Lemiuex instantly named a bum, even though he beat a solid N'Dam

My favourite new one is 'Wade and Willie Monroe though' a convenient little grouping, even though they are too vastly different scenarios. A very lame attempt.. Monroe was an awful opponent. We can't blame Golovkin for wanting to drop a recognised world title because the IBF made a bad call.

Of course, there's the inevitable 'ducked Ward doe' that won't ever die. Probably the worst of the lot. Doesn't it all sound familiar when Mayweather was the hot topic here? The irony of it all
