Heavyweight Boxer Paolo Vidoz won Olympic Bronze in 2000 at Superheavyweight after beating Calvin Brock and Samuel Peter but lost to Audley Harrison.

Vidoz is a pretty good heavy, and is European champ right now. I think he can beat Brock, Audley, and outbox Peter.

Forgive me if somebody else has already pointed this out; but Jim Jeffries also retired with the belt. The difference is he came back 5 years later and lost to Johnson. Also, Ali retired with the belt in 1979; but came back against Holmes a year later.

So, technically speaking, 5 men retired as champion; but only 3 stayed retired.
