Fans just think others are miles better because they've never fought anybody remotely close to Takam's level.
Takam isn't a Dillian Whyte who you all like to pretend is good and he ain't no Charles Martin either. Parkers exhausted what and Dillian Whyte wasn't after a whole 2 rounds?

I tell you now vast majority of AJs rabid fanbase are ****sexual muscle worshippers I'd put any money on that.
    Well said

    • Parker reminded of Mayweather a bit in this fight.

He used the shoulder roll for defense and moved around quite a lot.

      As a heavyweight fight, I was expecting a K.O

They saw the results. Choose to ignore the obvious signs of an aging HW who suddenly started showing one punch KO power late in his career. They forgot about Povetkin after the Wlad fight until he became Wilder's mandatory. The hate for Wilder is stronger than their common sense.

Why should Parker take a fight THEN take Whyte? Why should he take Whyte at all? Parker already has a win on his resume that neither Whyte nor Joshua can compare with.

Why does Whyte even deserve to get a fight with Parker? Besides the fact that UK fans want to think he's decent.

          • Appreciate that all the fans are staying positive about Parker

But please come on guys, GET REAL and think more of a realistic approach...

He will be no match against Joshua at this stage.

You do realize Takam is as plodding and slow as they get, right? He's a timing counter-puncher but everybody in the A class can move on him. That doesn't make Parker a speedster. His hand-speed is better than his footwork for sure, though.

Slow down buddy. As I said earlier, I was impressed with Parker. He showed a good chin and he showed he can dig down deep and get the W and he knows how to back a guy off of him when he's coming on. Why shouldn't he fight Whyte? His mando with Joshua isn't next year. Parker can get some rounds in. Then fight a common Joshua opponent. Why wouldn't you want to see this fight?

Oh well. In the end, everybody kept insisting Wilder would duck Povetkin. And now... silence. Not even a tip of the hat to the champ who was willing to fly out to the cheater's homeland. Oh well.

as of today parker is officially the more proven fighter between the two

joshua looked better against martin than parker did against takam, but that's to be expected. let's not forget how vulnerable joshua looked one fight earlier against another opponent with worse credentials and less of an all-round game than takam too

i agree that the fight can be "marinated" a little, but it will be fun and no foregone conclusion whenever it happens

People will tell you Parker is green and has poor defence. What they don't realise is so does Whyte. Difference is... one's been stopped. BY ANOTHER YOUNG GREEN FIGHTER WITH POOR DEFENCE! It's crazy the hypocrisy among these so called boxing "fans".
                      spot on.

credit where credit is due. i felt takam might stop parker (as a big parker fan) i knew it would be a grueling fight.

what's impressive is JP went from fighting jason bergman as preparation for a top 10 title eliminator at a young age.

yes he still leaves his chin open when he throw's.

guess what. so does the majority of the world title holders lol.. AJ...Wilder....

Parker is learning on the job
