  • I scored the fight 114 to 113, for Martirosyan and that’s with the bull**** point deduction that shouldn’t have happened.
Seems the judges never give credit for body punches.

fighter spends most of the night going backwards and idiots like Paulie talk about what great "RING GENERALSHIP" it is. Hey Paulina I have SKY Sat as well as Time Warner! Thanks to you I switched to Box Nation!

When Vic Drakulich deducted the point They switch to a different camera and stated it was on the belt line!

You’re dictating the action by running away from your opponent, doesn’t mean it’s fighting, it’s not. This is supposed to be a FIGHT.

I’m all for great technique, skills, and avoiding punches. But when a guy runs away that much, scoring needs to indicate it.

    LOL he wants GGG!

What did Canelo say "I didn't think it was gonna be that long of a marathon?"

"You win fights throwing punches; not on your bike"

Wtf you talking about? Why wouldn't anyone wanna see Lara vs GGG. Lara would clearly be GGG's best opponent at this point? Don't understand these sorta comments.

Solid night of fights. Hopefully J-Rock gets to fight one of these guys next. Don't even care which one. And hopefully if Andrade wins next time out he can get on some other 154 supercard like this & he can fight one of the other two guys. Lets get this 154 party started.

Also wtf at both Charlo's having a title now. Just what this division needs is two guy who won't fight each other. I kinda understand why GGG & his bro had to choose only one of them who could fight pro. It would suck a lil if GGG & his lil bro was running 160, but would never fight like Vitali & Wladimir & now Jermell & Jermall.

GGG Fans: Did you notice that Lara didn't even mention Golovkin? He's shook. He doesn't want the fight, let's stop talking about this coward.

Regular Fans: Actually Golovkin was the first name out of his mouth.

GGG Fans: Um...err....well...it doesn't matter, doe. Let's just stop talking about him ok?
I missed it man, I dont speak spanish and went to take a piss. i came back and the translator said canelo. Do you people really want to see Lara get put to sleep? Do you really think he has a chance against Golovkin? Ill ask you to think about your answer because this is a fight if we are being real is a fore gone conclusion. Lara made Canelo look like a fool but couldnt beat him and you think he is going to beat Golovkin? Really guys, let him unify and move UP!! There was nobody on this card tonight that beats Golovkin. The fights we go ooohhh, he might lose this one are to the north of where he is. Lets look for that and stop trying to get these little guys killed.

Come on man, because Lara gets cut off and walked down inside of five rounds. Do we really need to go through this?

This is boxing. We see fights all the time we know who is going to win.

Did anyone legitly think Khan was NOT going to get KTFO vs Canelo? Did anyone think Wade had a chance in f#ck to beat GGG? Dose anyone think the guy with 10 KO's in 30 odd fight has a chance to beat Kovalev? Hell this is still a fantasy fight but does anyone think that Floyd doesn't 12-0 or KO McGregor if they fight?

Why does the #1 guy at 154 (who no one wants to fight) fighting the #1 guy at 160 (who no one wants to fight) not make sense? Its makes all the sense in the world regardless of what anyone thinks happens. And its probably the best guy either has fought before.

            • I want to see Lara vs Golovkin

Not because i want to see a fight, because it will not be one, just because i want to see Lara and his followers shut up for good.

He takes 3 shots to the liver from GGG and he is history.

              • WTF, B.I.G. would have been 44 in 2016? Damn. He was so young.

John Jackson fought really well. I didn't think he was that good, and I guess people will argue that it was more about showing Jermell's limitations, but credit where it is due. Jackson showed something. That being said, Jermell has a lot to work on. No matter what he claims, he isn't a big puncher and if he has to rely on landing a punch causing that kind of reaction, he isn't going to beat many good boxers.

Jermall looked much better. He was pretty much doing everything that his brother didn't know how to. He and Trout fought a damn good fight. Trout had some Lara-like straight left counters throughout. Real close fight, as expected. Pretty easy to see how either guy could get the decision. I had it 6-6 and could easily find the rounds to give it to either guy.

Man, Lara just is who he is and he's never going to change. He just can't help but give away rounds he shouldn't. If he ever learned how to attack he would be so much better. Vanes really should have started bringing the left hook upstairs when he doubled it.

Good trio of fights. I enjoyed them all.

i think the fight "makes sense." [note: monetarily, this fight looks like it will have to be on ppv, so my evaluation that it "makes sense" is clearly from a competitive standpoint. i think it's a better fight than willie wade junior

however, you can't just say that lara is the best opponent that golovkin has fought because he's the best 154 lber. divisions matter. so do lara's draws, loss to canelo, and poor performance in victory against angulo. lara may be able to beat contenders and earn a top 5 spot at the weight, the way macklin, lemieux, murray, geale did. he's a better "pound for pound" fighter than either. i think it's obvious that he's got more skills. i bet he'd be a handful for them in sparring.

but he's not a middleweight. he hasn't accomplished the things you need to do to get ranked at middleweight, which is to beat other ranked middleweights [and ideally at the middleweight limit.] you can't say he's the best opponent golovkin has faced on those grounds alone. erislandy lara is not floyd mayweather, where even when he's campaigning at WW and being WW size that you would handicap him as the best 154 lber in the world.

golovkin has wins over guys who earned top 5 rankings at mw. that alone makes them better wins, at this stage, than erislandy lara, when you consider the entirety of his accomplishments and shortcomings in his career.

For sure divisions matter & I didn't delve down the rabbit hole of why I think Lara & GGG could be considered the best guy either guy has fought cuz thats a rabbit hole I didn't wanna spend the next day discussing in a RBR thread lol.

Mainly doe on the GGG side I think Lara's style presents challenges for GGG that he hasn't dealt with that often or arguably that well + I feel like Lara has had some fights in the MW division (& Caneloweight) that shows he can compete well in that division.

If anyone has earned any ranking or fight in any particular division is a fair conversation, but I tend to think its at least arguable that Lara has shown solid dominance & ability one division lower & then some vs what GGG's current resume has done in his division. I don't think its disputable that Lemiuex is among GGG's best opponents & many if not most probably feel he is the best guy GGG has fought. This guy held a title for a minute vs a guy most known for his L's & he's been KO'd by Marco Antiono Rubio. There is an argument Erislandy should be undefeated & should have a W over GGG's current running away from a fight nemesis, Canelo. I like Lara more then Lemeiux on GGG's resume myself.
