taylor hit his cousin with 5 bullets, including one that lodged in his pelvis. victim's son was in the car with him.
5 bullets. i have not heard if more shots were fired, but unless JT is a crack shot you have to figure that they were, and that he was trying to kill his cousin.
what in the actual F#ck is going on here? what state has laws where taylor is allowed to shoot somebody five times and walk away on probation?

are you seriously trying to tell me that judges are more lenient with blacks? you should just get banned for being dumb, forget racism
judges were lenient with taylkor because he's a multi millionaire, an asset to PBC, a multi million dollar firm, and advised by al haymon.

Originally posted by New England View Posti'm really not sure i understand what's going on, or that i even want to. this is sad, sad, sad. just f#cking look at jermain taylor, a guy who was once heralded as the next big thing, and who ended the reign of a great fighter in bernard hopkins. looking like a nutcase and shackled is not how i wanted to see him end his career.
taylor was "accused" of shooting his cousin...? and he received a continuance for it? anybody have any more information on what facts came out, if he admitted to them, etc?
then he shoots his gun and threatens famiy... again.. and again it is continued / suspended?
and finally, he beats up a dude in rehab.. and it's continued?
pardon me, but doesn't that seem f#cking batsh#t crazy? two shootings, one where he actually hit somebody, and an ass whooping at an institution, and he gets 120 hours of community service and probation? am i missing something? were there not enough facts / evidence to prove anything regarding the shooting?

i'm startying to think thaty Arkansas laws have something to do with it as well. almost positive that you don't have the option not to "press charges" for a shooting in Massachusetts, for instance. the state will press them for you. you can refuse to show up in court to provide your testimony, etc, but i don't think you can say, "nah, i don't want you to press chargest against eh guy that shot me," in my state.
and then you add in money / a top flight lawyer, and a settlement with the family of the victim

Remember that drunk guy who rubbed his **** on an opposing fan who had passed out during an after-match function..... they wanted to give him 5-10 years, and classify him as a sexual offender.
