With his condition plus his age, they probably shouldn't push him towards the top guys for another couple years really. They should be fighting domestic guys like Sexton and Towers or Euro guys like Saglam and Gerber

If Hughie's condition is as bad as they say it is then he shouldn't be fighting at all, let alone targeting big fights, whatever that means. I've got a degree of sympathy for Hughie's side here, but there's an element of wanting to have your cake and eat it with all this conflicting talk they've been sending out recently. Either Hughie's well enough for big fights (in which case Whyte's more than willing to step in) or they're not and should stop giving the public the runaround.

Peter Fury has basically said until his condition is under control and he's 100% healthy, he won't be fighting any good competition and will continue to train and learn and fight bums to keep ticking over until his health is under control.

At least they're honest about their intentions for the foreseeable future anyway, so i have no problem with that.

We saw how flat he was in his last fight. It would be ****** to go into a fight with Whyte like that.

Then he and his team shouldn't be talking about big fights and title challenges until he's sorted himself out.

Isn't that what they've just done? A british title fight with Dillian Whyte is also hardly the same as a world title shot.

Peter Fury said they are cool with Whyte & wouldn't fight him regardless.

I don't see a problem with Hughie easing off the gas right now. He's super talented for a guy as young as he is in the HW division. HW seems to be a division where guys routinely reach there prime in their 30's. He gots plenty of time to get somewhere. No rush. Gain some experience. And in a couple years make a run at a world title.
