WTF? GGG isnt the genuine champ. He got a 2nd belt in the boardroom not in the ring. That isn't a good thing except for GGG plopping partners aka his fans.

on a positive note we have a real middleweight with the wbc belt. One the flip side, we cant complain about all the mis-mandatories that come with it. He wants all the belts and just like Hopkins, he will fight no names to keep them.

this sucks. they better force him to fight GGG in september, this is ridiculous

I think they are trying to at least get it at 157-158 but still thats some punk *****.

Im far more pissed at Canelo but GGG has 2/3 belts without fighting. This new age of boxing spend more time negotiating for belts than actually fighting for belts

even if he gets Billy Joe belt by default or kayo there are still good fights to make it all truey undisputed. Get rid of Jacobs, quillin(i still want to see it), Lee and he is the legit champ with or without canelito. Man this dude really had me on a rollercoaster. years ago i was pissed he fought 140ers and 147ers for 154 belt...he finally starts fight guys his size then pulls the same crap at 160......well ODLH is his promoter and Arum built Oscar up pre 147 days with small former champs and washed up hall of famers. ITS THE NEW BLUEPRINT

He's clearly the best MW by a longshot, peoples champ with 3 belts. Doesn't get more dominant in his weight class. That's a true champ

            Weird thing to celebrate.
Nobody is celebrating it dude -- it's a complete balls

people's opinion is fine. Canelo giving him the belt all but makes him the man by default, which is not something good, especially with his resume.

GGG "step aside monied" his way to the WBC title. How is that good for the sport? Its not his fault, I know.

This is BS anyway you cut it.

This situation is exactly WHY he has the resume he does. Unfortunately there is no Dana White to force these fights. We get fishnets who clearly lied 2 years ago, I'll admit i believed him.

This is where we differ. His resume would be better if he made better choices once he is avoided. He goes after some fights and not others, which is a fair criticism.

That said, this situation is just disgraceful, through no fault of GGG.

no problem -- i don't think any real fan of the sport celebrates big fights like this not happening. Golovkin needs to forget about canelo's BS and move on to fight saunders to unify the lot and then move up to 168 -- forget about waiting on canelo, he'll be 35 soon and has been the best middleweight for years but no elite name with titles at 160 has ever given him a shot -- that sucks.
