Chris Eubank Jr. will return to the ring next month. The 26-year-old Brighton man will defend the aforementioned coveted Lonsdale belt against WBC International champion Tom Doran (17-0, 7 KOs) on June 25 at the O2 Arena in London, as part of the undercard to Anthony Joshua's first defence of the IBF world heavyweight title against undefeated American Dominic Breazeale.

I know, eh? Blackwell's 2 defences were just the same – a pair of nobodies. Saunders, before that, at least had 2 very good defences (name-wise) against Ryder and Eubank Jr.

Middleweight in the UK has no depth whatsoever.

Tom Doran is another Prizefighter winner about to get thrown under the bus by Matchroom.

Good fight considering the short notice. Doran really comes to fight, he's unbeaten and afraid of no one. Hats off, this is a good 'un.

          Then GGG in Sept.

Oh yeah, being paid well for a british title on live PPV, how awful for him. Those bastards at matchroom.

They have a responsibility for guiding his career as well, and in my opinion, he isn't ready for Chris Eubank Jnr.

Another mismatch. Eubank needs to start fighting guys above C level, he's not a kid anymore. Jacobs vs Eubank would be very good after this one.

He ain't fight a bad mofo on less than 5 weeks notice. Keep it moving, keep it active. Nothing wrong with that. For sure its time to start moving up to better things doe after this fight I think.
