Sounds like that country never wants to develop. The guy who is more than likely going to be president is insane and now you have a guy with no understanding of policy or anything other than boxing in the senate, all because of hero-worship and maschismo

The guy has a what grade education? And how does he know politics when he was hardly ever at work. Wasn't he the most absent representative ever or something? That being said even if he does know politics, he doesn't know effective policy. The guy was against birth control in a country with an increasing HIV infection rate and where literacy is under 50% (under 50 a country won't develop, and pregnant women tend not to develop new skillsets other than mothering). Why did the Filipinos pick a popular guy instead of a effective guy?
