So funny. I love how Cotto was practically gifted the belt after Martinez blows his knee out for a second time in the first round and then all the marketing around the Cotto - Canelo was around "lineal" WBC belt, which was at a catchweight between two super welterweights. Then after winning a boring fight in which neither man was seriously hurt. Canelo is crying like he accomplished something so great. Then picks another fight with a much smaller man with a notorious glass jaw just to get another spectacular KO for future marketing purposes. Gives the same line of pre-scripted BS regarding GGG, but at the same time hints vacating saying belts don't mean anything to him and then later vacates while still maintaining he will fight him and beat him. I just not sure how anyone could be a fan of this boy at this stage of his career. So bad.

Sanchez dumbass tried to leverage a money fight by letting Cotto keep the belt so when he lost to Canelo they would try and pressure him into fighting and as his mandatory try and leverage a bigger purse than what they deserve.

I told all of you Canelo would not be forced and he would vacate, move up and take all of the money fights. Do you realize the cards he's about to put on? I guarantee Billy Joe Saunders is canelo will be announced with either Andy Lee or Eubank Jr on the undercard, anyone wanna bet?

In all fairness is the Champ vacates his title and gives it away to his mandatory like in this case, it's worse then losing. Hence GGG is champ by default and sheer terror

There is no such thing as becoming champion by default.

Becoming champion by default, is becoming a paper champion.

But Golovkin is a real champ, depending on how legitimate you see Lemieux.

They are both waiting to hear from Canelo.

This fight is not happening any time soon. Canelo's team don't want it. They're still in the process of trying to promote him as boxings biggest star. Still in the process of building him after being schooled by Floyd. The last thing they want is to possibly see him sprawled out on the canvas.

It's business. Canelo is the only big name GBP has right now, they're not letting him fight someone that could possibly wreck him, no chance in hell.

And let's say they might actually fight, then he's vacated because he knows that if it goes to purse bids, he HAS to fight at 160. But didn't he say he will fight at 160? I said at the time he was hyped up from a win and when that dies down, normal service will resume and he'll want 155.

The fact is this fight will not happen anytime soon. Canelo's team don't want it. By doing this they can just "negotiate", which means eventually walk away from it, fight WW's and JMW's at 155 for a while and then try to watch GGG's decline from age from a distance until the right time comes.

This is very disappointing. Boxing is just impossible to defend sometimes. Hopefully they come together to make this fight anyway.

This looks bad for Canelo. He was al talk for the camera after he ko'd Khan. Oscar and Bernard never ducked , he'll bhop even fought kovalev just over a yr ago.
