in ufc, floyd's lighting speed will be put on hold for the fear or getting countered by a head kick, getting taken to the ground, etc. this would be floyd's first fight in a mma match and u act like floyd can just go in there and not worry about all the other shit that is allow in mma. this poster should be banned for making such comments. "even in a cage there is no guarantee it goes to the ground"? FOH!!!!!!!!!!

Well anything is possible but I dont see Floyd knocking Connor out with one shot and thats what it would take. If he knocked him down he would have to jump on him and finish him, then he would be where he has never been. Connor beats Floyd easily in the Octogon and Floyd beats Connor easily in the ring.

in a boxing setting floyd wins,

in a mma setting connor wins,

in a regular life in a dark alley, connor wins.

          gay sex, floyd wins doe.

You guys need at least a few amateur fights to get some real understanding of what goes on , all I ever see is fan ignorance .
definition of a fanboy right here folks!

Stuff is pretty transparent to anyone who's taken Marketing 101.

              1. UFC* called Conor's bluff and cut him off.
*actually, IMO it was the Italian guy who owns the UFC that made the call. You gotta put the help back in their place. Any major power broker has to know that a populist revolution can spark anywhere/anytime, and you have to shut down the talk of fighters unionizing quickly.

              2. Conor begged the social media to put him back on, and despite success, he was still denied. But a window was left open for UFC 201, 202, etc...

              3. Floyd knows that casuals don't care about him as much anymore, so he decided to start rumors (admitted it on video) about a fantasy fight. Conor bit down, and both guys have their respective brands remain in the news. So anytime Conor spars, he must be preparing for Mayweather. Or TMT 50 trade mark paperwork is considered breaking news.

              4. Conor fake retired--just as Floyd did. And this is his version of a WWE foray. It's a sideshow to stay relevant and bridge an audience gap.

No it shouldn't, it's actually an incorrect analogy and a sloppy attempt to be funny. Comparing a combat sport to a round of golf is idiocy. If you want a more correct analogy, you can say its like an NFL player against a professional rugby player.

I don't really have an opinion on this fight, these type of situations go all the way back to the early years of the sport, when boxers used to fight martial artists and wrestlers, as exhibitions. When I look at it like that, I dont see it as a bad thing. It would be entertaining and may garner some new interest for the sport.

Go watch WWE then. Mayweather beat Big Show up, that was entertaining. Thunder Lipps beat Rocky up too. So I guess it's not a bad thing.

if the name of the game is to get $ then this fight is probably the most profitable event left for Maywesther & Conor

This is fight would be a f.ucking disgusting sideshow if it happend but I'd be lieing if I said I wouldn't watch it
Exactly...before he conceded mayweather would beat him in a boxing match, he went on a long tirade about how badly mcgregor would **** him up in an mma fight.

agree. it would be another way around if the fight takes place in the octagon. in a boxing ring, mayweather will frustrate connor, and maybe knock him out...

but if the fight is under ufc rules, connor will end the fight in one round...knocking out cold mayweather.
