i dont see where roy is criticizing it for being a ppv. he's saying that the match won't happen, not that he thinks it's a circus act. he's also saying ufc won't allow it to happen cuz it will hurt their brand and that mcgregor has no chance.

the title of the article has everyone up in arms but it's highly misleading.

media obligations for small money compared to a mayweather fight. im sure he and everyone else in that position would have no issues with the media obligations for 1 fight if it were for the money they would get from a mayweather fight.

I think y'all are being too hard on Roy. He's not necessarily condemning the fight he's saying the fight doesn't make sense. The MMA is not going to risk one of their cash cows against the best boxer of the era. The embarrassment would hurt the MMA brand. At the same time boxing fans would not take this fight seriously because no one expect an MMA fighter to beat a boxer in a boxing match let alone Mayweather. The idea of this fight is generating a lot of buzz but I don't believe this will come to fruition.
