Haymon bringing Cruiserweight division to USA

Glowacki vs Cunningham on network TV.

Tapia and Hunter's fights on Shobox.

Gassiev headlining tonight on Fox Sports 1.

Penn and Shumenov in separate bouts on Saturday.

It's crazy how little credit Haymon gets, the winner of tonight's fight is next in line for Glowacki vs Usky winner.

LOL I wouldn't mention Tapia & Hunter, those fights set the cruiserweight division back 6 months.

But yea Glow is fun to watch. Anyone know when Glow vs Usyk is happening? Thats probably one of the fights I'm most looking forward to in boxing right now.

Probably not for a while, it'll probably go to purse bid.

A fun division from the few fights I've seen. For whatever reason I've always just been whatever about that division

A lot of people have felt that way about the division, myself included up until the last few years. I pretty much looked at the guys in the division as dudes that should just be at heavyweight, but when the top heavyweights today are all 6'6"+ and 240lbs+ its hard to deny that the division needs to exist imo. Not to even mention that the division is stacked with talent atm.

It feels like Heavyweight lite to me is part of why I've never gotten super into the division. I like plenty of specific CW fights, but yawn at the overall division. Its for sure the only non-lil guy division I give so few f#cks about.

Cruiserweight fights are usually very entertaining. They usually have several fight of the year candidates. It shouldn't be slept on. And yes, the small heavyweight needs an option to be viable, if they are 6'1 and less than 220, they can possibly make 200 and be relevant.

I think that's the exact reason why I always looked past cruiserweight. These heavyweights aren't 6'2 225 anymore. I'll be keeping an eye out for their up and coming fights for sure

I think the only other division i pay less attention to is 115 & the minimumweights.
