Last Dec ShoBox card did 236k. You said ShoBox always did about PBC on FS1 ratings. That's not true. FS1 is avg about 150k viewers. What you mean is NOW a days ShoBox is avg what PBC get's on FS1. ShoBox cards used to always do over 200k they are down now just like the rest of Showtime Boxing ratings. Not as drastic but a good 30% or more.Comment

Though keep in mind, if you go back a few years, ratings on Showtime boxing events were hard to come by, so these low ratings might not be unprecedented.Comment

i think the point is that the showtime championship boxing ratings have been in the toilet for a year and a half. good fights like jacobs vs quillin and bute degale get under 400,000 people watching. go back 2-3 years ago and showtime was neck and neck and sometimes beat hbo. now they do less than half the ratings on a consistent basis.
Wtf is this guy doing? If his job description was to literally make showtime boxing horrible then he's done an outstanding job.

Showtime ratings jumped up around 2013 when they made the power move with Golden Boy and haymon. From 2013-2015 they were really neck and neck with HBO in ratings. Then about a year and half ago the ratings started falling fast. A combination of the Golden Boy split and Haymon taking his fighters to PBC last year has caused a ripple effect and all Showtime Boxing programming across the boards are down. With ratings Showtime is getting how Espinoza still has a job is beyond me.Comment
