You can't say Danny doesn't have a point:

Americans have pretty much ruled the heavyweight scene for the past 100 years, now there are no upcoming fighters that have talent...Danny Williams may not realize that all the talent that would have been boxers are playing in NFL Football...reason, because it is a much more secure way of making money, and that is saying a lot because Football is dangerous.

Ther are so many big, athletic, "Freak of Nature", type guys in the NFL...some of them would have had the chance to have been good/great in boxing, if boxing still was "BOXING", and of course started when they were young.

That's a great point, sport in general has changed dramatically in the last 20 years, there is more money to be made in general if you are an average basketball, baseball, NFL, Soccer player etc than an average boxer, add into that there is far less risk to health, then perhaps that's the reason for the decline.

The Eastern block countries do not yet have these opportunities therefore they see boxing a good way of earning decent money!

James Toney has been spouting this since he became overweight contendor. John Ruiz? Chris Byrd?

Brewster, though vulnerable and flawed, has potential to regain the title.

With America's economy doing relatively well, you won't see as many talents from America in the heavies as much as we enjoyed in the 70's.
