Warren is slagging off Brook as though Kell is hiding from top competition, but which of the cream at 140 is calling Brook out. A bit like the situation with Golovkin, Kell Brook is annihilating mandatories while waiting for a title unifier. The bad mouthing of Brook by Fish Eyes is a bit rich given he's the guy who promoted Ricky Hatton's WBU title defences against a string of has-beens and never-wozzers, many of whom weren't sturdy enough to be called stiffs, selling it to the gullible as "world championship boxing." He's now intimating that his offer to Brook of a fight with Liam Smith would somehow constitute a step up into the big time for Kell. Lol. Smith won his 'crown' by predictably flattening John 'Too Fragile' Thompson after spending the first few rounds getting slapped about by a guy who will never be a factor at genuine world level and has since defended against a domestic novice in Jimmy Kelly. Smith is about to face Pedrag Radosevic who was chewed up in four one sided rounds by Felix Sturm and has faced only one other 'name' opponent, managing a points win over the then 38 year old Giuseppe Lauri, a guy that's been stopped eight times. Warren says Slavs 'love a fight' which apparently makes Radosevic a worthy challenger. It would be an insult to employ Frank as audience warm-up act at the Comedy Store. He should be topping the bill.

There was no other route, it was Brooks last chance, and Matchroom would not have allowed him to f things up for them.
