Wilder's team was probably in the loop since the beginning: "don't worry Deontay, you won't have to fight that guy". America would have looked bad after their guy got knocked out and his belt taken from him by a Russian.

Povetkin tried to cheat and it's as clear as day, and in most contracts if someone tested positive the fight is off and they get suspended.
Such a shame that American fans would go as far as supporting the foreign fighter that tested positive over their American fighter, only in America, and you idiots wonder why nobody takes risks anymore in the sport.Comment

Wow, the audacity...... since Povetkin hasn't taken it since September and the results are wrong they should sue VADA for faulty tests right?Comment

He got caught ****ing cheating, he should have zero recourse to push the fight forward at this point. It is purely his fault it is not happening.
But of course NSB wants to pretend that Povetkin cheating means Wilder is ducking him somehow.Comment

Povetkin's team haven't got a leg to stand on in this case. Even if they can somehow prove that the meldonium was taken before the ban, in the eyes of the public at large he's been caught dirty. The WBC will be aware of that. There'll be no repercussions on Wilder's part if he refuses to fight him.Comment

**** off.
He should be banned from boxing, a drug cheat having the nerve to blame others for a fight not happening.Comment

I see no reason why the fight shouldn't happen down the line, but yeah, I think Povetkin's side have forfeited the fight being held in Russia for good.Comment

They have to be trolling, I mean i know this is nsb but people can't really be that ****** right?Comment
