GGG, Maidana, and Matthysse have a proven track record of being black beaters. Maidana struggled but was able to overcome Broner's insane baby silverback strength. Matthysse proved he can kick a black man's ass back in the day when he beat the **** out of Zab Judah, Devon Alexander, Lamont Peterson, and that one African guy.

As for GGG, he beat that bootleg Mike Tyson Curtis Steven.

How many people on here know that Miguel Cotto is Black? The racial make-up of a person goes far beyond outside appearances or "origin."

Blacks have a bunch of physical advantages, and that's why white fighters should get more credit when they face each other
this is true. white/light skinned boxers deserve a lot of credit when they dominate the sport because of their disadvantages. guys like wlad, ggg, lomachenko, kovalev are truyl great considering their physical disadvantages. amazing.

puerto rican is an nationality, not a race or ethnic group.

They are no different than most of the so called "african americans" in the united states, an admixture of African, european and native american. They dont identify as "black" because of the taboo and stigma that comes with identifying with it but come to the US and you'll get a rude awakening.

Looking at hue and skin tone is a eurocentric ideology. People of african, polynesian, native american decent, etc. come in all shades.

Me and my brother have the same mom and dad yet if this was 150 years ago, I would be considered black, colored and my brother would be considered mulatto or white(depending on how he dressed, and his hair)

Im a copper skin tone with curly coily hair and my brother is yellowish with coarse hair. Same dna and ancestry.

            myself and my mom

            my brother and dad

there is no phenotype for any race, i wish people would stop acting like it, if we were fluent in spanish we would blend in the caribbean no problem.

As far as my family, "black" aka native american. decendents of Copper skinned indigenous americans

It sounds like you're agreeing with me. There's much more to any person's genetic make-up than how they look on the outside, or where they "come from." I find it humorous because I bet you that most people on here merely consider Cotto a "Latino" (whatever they think that means) and do not have the faintest idea that he has Black in him. Heck, I bet if we were to do DNA tests on any fighter, the results would be more than one "race." The same goes for people who consider themselves Caucasian; their Black ancestry may or may not be as recent as a Puerto Rican's, for example, but it's there. It makes no sense that people don't accept we're all mixed. It's just outward discrimination, discrimination, and discrimination.

I was agreeing with you bro ...and we all are our own beautiful mix. No one is pure on this earth unless they are isolated from outsiders.

the discrimination, bigotry, etc of people in the world and this little azz boxing site is amazing. It reminds me of how much more we have to do as a people. We succeed together and languish with separatist ideology. ALL PEOPLE.

what about the Klit bros? they killed generations of fighters if they lost, in a rematch the guy got killed. hardly anyone they fought was the same afterwards. most went on as punching bags. never did any guys dominate like that in the history of boxing or will ever again

We probably won't be able to change how society superficially judges everyone, but it's always good to know that the facts are on our side. They may try to categorize us, but they simply have nothing to back it up with.

Don't taint my gene pool with your ridiculous claims of being native. You don't act native. You don't talk native. Foh
