Stevenson is done anyway. Shame the fight didn't happen but Kovalev has moved on to bigger and better things. Stevenson hasn't done crap.

Totally agree with this posts, Adonis didn't help himself by fighting no one since he won the belt, Even doe I didn't like the fact that Kov team called for a purse bid then ducked the purse bid i can't fault his competition since. The list of boxers he has already face is amazing and then he would be facing off with ward at the end of the year...So kudos to Kov.

Last year it weren't his fault but in 2013/14 that was his fault. He left HBO got to rack up meaningless defences for good money then wanted to cash out on Kovalev. Also, he thought he could get Hopkins' belts and leave Kov with the WBO which backfired.

He's past his prime now, not that he was ever amazing.

Team Chickenson ducked the fight when he ran to Showtime in the first place.

On the 2nd attempt, Team Kovalev ducked the fight because they couldn't win a purse bid.

Why doesn't he mention how this fight was agreed to and all but signed before Haymon came in and lured Stevenson away?

No one lured him away anywhere.

Adonis asked for big $$$ to stay at HBO. HBO was very cheap with his contract; therefore, he went to Showtime.

Both teams ducked the fight at a certain point in time, but I support Kovalev more here because even though that fight didn't get made, he stayed busy and fought good opposition, Stevenson hasn't done anything since he won the title 2-3 years ago and now he's almost 40, he wasted whatever he had left in his career and he only has himself to blame for it.
