      Fights I'd like to see:

      Cotto vs Jmm
      Cotto vs Bradley

      Jmm vs Matthysse
      JMm vs Danny Garcia

jmm is just too old .. he will get beat by cotto cause cotto is just naturally the bigger guy,, i cant see cotto coming down under 150,, maybe 150 is as low but even at that weight jmm is just too small to be fighting guys that much bigger than him,,he should go after a welterweight fighter, cotto is used to fighting above 150 already, not marquez

Theres a good tune up for Marquez in a guy named Gabriel Bracero, 35yo PR guy same size as cotto with a low KO ratio. Marquez should get his handlers to make that fight in Mexico, Marquez should be able to win no matter what but how he wins should be telling as to if he could face Cotto. Regardless a goodbye win over a PR in Mexico should be great for his Mexican fans to sail off into the sunset with. If Marquez has still got it and schools this guy or KOs him (hes never been ko'd) than they can discuss Cotto @150-151.

Btw for all those accusing Marquez of being dirty, remember #ko6, stay salty my friends...

            Always gets up, always fights.

Like someone said one time. If a freight train hits Marquez on the chin, he goes down, them immediately gets up and fights back.
The worst thing Cotto could do is knock Marquez down.... all that will do is piss him off

This will be a huge money fight, but reminds me of roy-tito a few years ago... Like whats the point except your putting in 2 huge names to draw money..

If its a 147 or 150, and marquez is hulked up, it should be a good fight,, I just don't see how marquez can deal with the movement and power that cotto possesses..

If they were the same size I would like this fight, even with them being past prime, but I think JMM having to go up enough pounds to meet Cotto is putting himself at a real disadvantage.

Jose Cotto would actually be the best tune up to prepare Marquez for a Cotto fight. He has just enough size, and almost the same exact fighting style as Miguel. Jose also has some pop, so Marquez can feel a heavier punch. That would be the prefect, winnable tune up that presents some what of a challenge for Marquez.

Heres the reality of the fight...

While it lasts it'll be better and more entertaining the Canelo/Khan. However, this fight presents every single mismatch in favor of Cotto, with out the caveat of Khans speed in favor of Marquez. Put simply Marquez would get walked over. He will simply be outgunned. Cotto will have age, weight, size, strength, speed, punching power, movement, and Cotto's ring IQ and ability to box is on par with Marquez'. Marquez' counter punching will not be very affective because those punches will be slow, and Cotto is not Pac, meaning he is not running into perfectly aligned shots. Cotto coming off of knocking out 2 middle weights, and going 12 with Canelo, a fight in which he took a few clean shots and was never hurt. Having said that, anything can happen in boxing, but this is the wrong fight to be made.

For me, the fight that needs to be made is Cotto vs. Bradley. I believe that is the best fight for a Cotto PPV, which also includes many dynamics that make this fight more than interesting. Thats the fight I've wanted to see for some time.
