This is a fantastic battle between two legends of boxing. It has classic written all over it. I'm happy to hear that Marquez has been able to heal his knee; I didn't want that to be an issue in making the fight or possibly take away from it. The weight could be settled somewhere down the middle, perhaps 151. Both fighters would be giving up pounds, and there wouldn't be too much risk of Cotto being drained, either. Plus, with Marquez having bulked up in recent years, I'm sure he won't have any problem comfortably making that weight himself. There should be nothing standing in the way of this great match-up.
Except perhaps...Bob Arum? >.> I noticed how he would immediately claim all the fighters RocNation tried to match Cotto up with for the now-scrapped June event. It was his right as promoter of many of them, of course, but it seemed like too much of a coincidence. Even when Marquez repeatedly emphasized that the only fight he wanted was Cotto, Arum continued to insist that it wasn't viable. I just get the feeling that Arum doesn't want to do business with Cotto at all, since Miguel left Top Rank for Roc Nation.
Let's hope the fight happens! "The Legacy" sure has a nice ring to it, as no doubt the winner will become an even bigger legend after this.Comment

Knee/joint pain or injury is one sign of PED use. Just saying.
When you think about it, other than PAC, JMM's best win at 147 is Mike Alvarado?Comment

And being 43 years old doesn't? If you knew what boxers did to train and how much ever and work is put into it you would know better than say ****** sht.Comment
