Wada didn't just wake up on Jan 1 and decide to ban this drug.. They investigated it for about a year or so, correct? This is the same drug that cost the u-18 hockey team for Russia to bow out and get replaced by their u-17 team instead.

Do you mean to tell me that young athletic teenagers all have heart issues? And who was issuing these medications to these athletes that failed these tests? Or is this an over the counter drug that you can pick up at your local Russian CVS? Plus, if you truly do have heart conditions and need Meldonium, why even partake in a brutal sport(s) like boxing and/or hockey amongst others?

It was obviously not being used for the****utic uses, but it was still technically legal. You're right, though, the ban was talked about long before it was actually enforced, so any athletes who decided to use it up until the cutoff period and later got busted for trace amounts only have themselves to blame.
