Either way it changes nothing when it comes to negotiating the fight. If you believe that tweet then you have to believe Iole reporting 97K for GGG.
600k and 460k against a guy that had never headlined a PPV still trumps what GGG brings to the table which is little. I spent the undercards explaining who GGG was to people I was watching the fight with. They still forgot who he was by the time he walked into the ring after Khan got sparked out, everyone was still hyped on the KO.

Did Iole report 97k for GGG? I thought it was Glaser.

it was Glaser, Iole didn't report anything except make an artical that it was 150k based on tom loeffler. Also i didn't find a tweet about 600k (for Cotto vs. Canelo) from him at least not a recent one. poster must be full of crap. the funny part is the GGG haters who some how made their way here and justify everything good, bad and ugly with 97k

Canelo Alvarez, by any cut of the equation, is either 3 or 4 times the star that Golovkin is currently.

The usual 85/15 split is likely excessive, but Golovkin "demanding" 30/70 is grounds for Alvarez to say '**** it' and move on.

Why are people ******ed? This was GGG's FIRST. FIRST ever PPV... He did ~100...

How many did Tyson, Canelo, Cotto, manny, Oscar, Floyd do?

Jesus Christ, the GGG ppv argument is insanely ******. Let's say they fight in 2019.. I guarantee you GGG would've sold a 500 by then against a Ramirez, Ward, or whatever name at lower 154/160..
