It would be great for Crawford-Postol or Kovalev-Ward, but for the face of boxing fighting one of the bigger names in the sport (Khan), 460K is pretty terrible.
What's terrible is that there is not a single boxer who could do better numbers in the U.S. right now.

Not unless Floyd comes out of retirement.

What kind of person would mistake honesty for flip-flopping ?

You silly clown, do you think that I should " keep the faith ", and frantically wave my pom-pom's for Canelo..... like you asshat's do for Golovkin ?

It's called keeping it real son.

I commented on what I saw, not on what I wanted to see.

When you grow up, you will understand..... hopefully.

I don't know **** about PPV/TV numbers, and I don't really want to know..... I simply commented on what I saw.

It appears that Cotto is still a huge draw..... it appears that Canelo is not quite a superstar, yet..... and it appears that Golovkin's 97k/150k - whatever - , against a complete unknown, is not quite as bad as stated and likely cannot be called a flop.

Sorry if keeping it real goes against every fibre of your being.

BTW, thanks for inadvertently complimenting me on my honesty..... and btw again, I gave the same honest opinion that I always give regarding Golovkin.

Crawford-Postol if they get even the infamous 97k, that would be amazing imo, they are pretty much unknown

Ward-Kovalev I would see 150-200k as a great number since neither have been on PPV and they are only relatively popular. 460k would be beyond great, I imagine that would make a massive amount of profit for that card

460-500k is what guys like Trinidad was doing in his prime vs Vargas, Joppy, Hopkins, Mayorga, Winky, Jones. So that's not bad

        Trinidad-DLH 1.4 m
        Trinidad-Vargas 560k
        Trinidad-Joppy 520k
        Trinidad-B-Hop 475k
        Trinidad-Wright 510k
        Trinidad-Mayorga 470k
        Trinidad-Jones 500k

Canelo's PPV power by himself is very comparable to Trinidad's PPV power. While Trinidad was more consistent 470-510k seller, Canelo has ranged from 300k to 2.2 million. Mayweather was to Canelo what DLH was to Trinidad. Trinidad has nothing to compare Canelo vs Cotto's 900k. But let's face it 460k for Khan, like who's Khan really? Joppy was in a much better position than Khan, more highly thought of, MW champion, legit ranked as #2 MW behind B-Hop because he was actually better than the other MW's unlike Khan who's ranked #2 at WW which makes no sense since he has 0 wins versus any of those WW's. So to do 460k with a guy like Khan, i'm not saying it's great, i'm just saying it's not terrible. Great to me would have been 600-650k

Will Ward/Kovalev be on PPV ?

Kev, thats what I think..... if it's on PPV Ward/Kovalev will likely do 200k.

So Golovkins numbers with unknown Lemieux are rpobably not too bad.

            I dunno.

But yea, no way does Ward/Kovalev do 450-500 like Canelo/Khan..... which is fkn insane considering that fight was bit of a mismatch and yet Ward/Kovalev will be epic.

I will never figure that stuff out, I still don't understand how Mayweather became so famous.

I don't know, I was just answering Pigeons scenario

I'm buying it for sure if it is. If there's one PPV i'm buying this year it's Ward-Kovalev, and if Canelo-GGG happens i'll buy that too

After the Floyd and Manny scam no one wants to buy PPV's the proof is Floyds next fight against Berto which did poorly

Wow, this number shows how much viewing power cotto has. His fight with canelo doubled the buys.

460k is terrible. It's the same buy rate as Pac/Bradley with slightly smaller purses.

Cotto/Canelo sold 900k where Cotto was the A-side.
