Comments Thread For: Hearn: Anthony Crolla vs. Terry Flanagan Unification Makes Sense

A world title unification bout between Mancunians Anthony Crolla and Terry Flanagan "makes sense", says promoter Eddie Hearn. The 29-year-old Crolla (31-4-3, 13KOs) defended his WBA lightweight crown in style by outgunning Ismael Barroso in seven last Saturday night and thoughts turned quickly to a prospective clash with WBO king Flanagan, who attended the same secondary school - St Matthew's RC High in Moston - as 'Million Dollar'.

Lightweight has been out of the spotlight for a few years, but it's slowly returning to form. Hope these guys pair up.

For Crolla it's got to be a unification next. Whether that be against Flanagan, Barthelemy, or Linares.

How are you going to sell an English unification in America? I doubt it would be televised, the only links will be free. I see a lot of money missing in that scenario. All I see coming out of Crolla vs Flanagan is a big fish in a small pond.
