Comments Thread For: Arthur Abraham Returns July 16: "I'm Not Ready To Say Goodbye"

At age 36 and now a three-time former champion, Arthur Abraham insists there is plenty of air left in his tires.

The recently dethroned super middleweight titlist took some well-deserved time off following his 12-round points loss to unbeaten Gilberto Ramirez in April, but is now ready to return for at least one more title run. The first step in pursuing that goal will come July 16, when Abraham will appear in the chief support at the famed Max-Schmeling-Halle in Berlin, Germany.

I would like to see him and Sturm fight before they both retire. Both are clearly diminished which ironically could make it competitive. Insane there was never a demand by the German fans/media to have those two fight when they were MW title holders.

He's never been successful vs slick boxers, far as I can remember. The guy just needs to stay in Germany to ride out his career. Fun to watch when he finally opens up, but frustrating to see so little activity in some fights.

He fights in spurts that the problem

When he puts his punches together he's dangerous but then goes back into a robot state and is picked off and out worked

Thats not true about slick fighters. He has never been successful with tall fighters due to his pickaboo defense and his height, he is short. He does very well against others. He should have stayed at Middleweight

He absolutely ****** against Ramirez, he looked a shadow of his former self. The writing is clearly on the wall, give it up Arthur you cost me money too betting on your ugly ass lol.
