I think this is a good point, Khan did take some full-blooded shots from Canelo and he took them pretty well. That shot that knocked him out got him by surprise. I wouldn't be surprised if Maidana did hit harder, Canelo has decent pop in his punches but he certainly isnt a power puncher who can hurt you with every shot.

Maidana must have some nasty freak power
He's like the new Earnie Shavers. Everyone says crazy things about his power but he never seems to KO anybody worth a damn.

I doubt Khan was in any position to register the force of the shot that put his lights out. His whole recollection of the event is probably hazy as fcuk. That's what concussions do to you.

Cruising to a decision - really?

No doubt Khan was doing well but Canelo could've ended that fight at any point if he really wanted to... Canelo was patient and this made Khan look good.

Maiidana a does hit harder as nello I isn't known to hit hard. But nello I is a light heavyweight so can absorb punches.

Didn't lose concentration, his defence just sucks

Canelo brings more weight into his shots than Maidana. That was no defensive lapse. Canelo worked the body to get him to drop his hands and lay the haymaker. If you didn't see that coming, you're as clueless about boxing as Khan! What I don't understand is people like RJJ getting excited when Khan was buzzing like a mosquito and tapping Canelo...and they all still claiming it was a good fight. A fight is not a good fight when you absolutely know what is going to happen. The only mystery was what round.

Im sure thats how it feels to him.

Plenty of fighters make strange claims about different fighters power, most of the time because one switched their lights out, and the other landed on them for round after round.

A sustained beating just hurts more, you feel it the next week or month and your memory of it is clear. A Ktfo type doesnt give you a chance to remember how it felt
