Key word is boxer as in the technical aspects of the sport and no GGG is not very skilled

How is he not technical? Technical boxer doesn't always = defensive counter puncher.

in spots, yeah but why give a non mover who fights in spurts and with questionable conditioning a chance to breath...i hope Golovkin takes risks all night....if he thinks he can just jab methodically at a slow pace and win, he clearlly hasnt seen how much credit canelo gets from the judges....

Easily. GGG will have him under constant pressure with that ramrod jab.

Who? The closest that anyone ever came to outboxing GGG was Ouma, which it's fair to say was a fairly even fight through to about 8 rounds, but Ouma ain't a nobody - even the semi-shot version who boxed out of his skin that night.

In his last dozen or so fights GGGs probably lost a combined total of less than 10 rounds. And Canelo's solid and a good counter-puncher with decent handspeed but hardly a master boxer.

Actually, Ouma wasn't outboxing him. It was more like a brawl. Golovkin tried to KO him, but Oumaybe just refused to get knocked out. He stood his ground and fought Golovkin on the inside. Golovkin was very sluggish that night. He didn't even try to box Ouma from outside.

I think Murray boxed quite good the first 3 or maybe 4 rounds.
