    Pacquiao vs Canelo

I keep hearing this fight mentioned and do not understand how it can even be mentioned. Today I read an article that this fight was presented to Roach.

If Canelo wasn't able to get down to 154 lbs. in 3 years how would this fight ever happen when Pacquiao cant even go up to 154? I doubt Canelo would take another draining catchweight like he did with Floyd and that was 152, Pacquiao probably cant go past 150 lbs.

Team Canelo claims they can make 54 and even claimed to have offered Khan 54 but 55 was ultimately agreed on for the title. Canelo didn't look that bad this weigh in..he could probably make 54 (he seemed smaller this fight).

Either way it ends like canelo-khan or JMM-pac.

Let pac enjoy his retirement. Canelo might push Pac over the edge of seeming healthy and not

Roach probably made this up. Why would Canelo want to fight Pacquiao and get more **** for picking on smaller fighters? Arum wanted this fight months and Oscar said no. Canelo is way too big, young and powerful for Pacquiao who is retired anyway. I am sure that Canelo could make 154 without a problem if he wanted to. Just because he hasn't fought at that weight in years doesn't mean he can't fight at 154 and be just fine. Does it make sense to you that he can consistently make 154.5 to 155 and be strong as a bull but somehow he would be weak as a kitten at 154? That makes no sense to me. Weighing in at 152 drains him but I doubt 154 drains him. A rehydration clause would drain him and he would never agree to it. Anyway there will never be a Canelo-Pacquiao fight so why worry about it?

Because fighting Pacquiao provides another Vegas spectacle and massive event payday. And, if Pacquiao's money issues are legit (with a non-ally now heading into the presidency, the BIR will be back on his ass, chasing down the owed money), having one final massive payday won't hurt either (especially after the Bradley III fight not delivering that payday).

Only hang up is likely the timing/logistics of doing the fight.
