Good thing for Chavez Sr that he never had to fight Salvador Sanchez, really don't see that going well for Chavez.

Actually this was after he turned down a pac rematch.

Hbo offered both 750k for the rematch. Pac accepted, jmm turned it down.

Just hit 20 when Salvador passed away, they would have had a fierce rivalry I'm sure.

            IMO

            It is Between

Muhammed Ali vs Teofilo Stevenson(at heavyweight it could've happened in the late 70s if Stevenson was allowed to turn pro)

            or

Salvador Sanchez vs Julio C. Chavez Sr.(at lightweight it could've happened in the early 80s if Sal Sanchez would've not died R.I.P)
Sanchez would have Wilfredo gomezed Chavez.
Sanchez was my guy back then and now!!!

He is my number 1 ATFavorite!

I don't have any others. None!!

I saw him when I was just learning to box myself in the late 70's.
I wept when his death was announced. I liked ABC for having a tribute to Chava!!

This was before both were big names.

Pac wasn't on ppv yet as far as main event.

$750k each was a lot for little guys. Especially non ppv. It was hbo. Like the first.

Manny would have made more. If JMM made 350K in the first fight, he shoulda expected considerably more.
