Comments Thread For: Frank Warren Details Terms For Terry Flanagan vs. Anthony Crolla

Quite simply, Terry Flanagan v Anthony Crolla has to happen. when has there even been an opportunity to see two world champions from the same city, in fact the same school, attempt to unify their World titles?

I will agree to this if the following terms are accurately reflected in a contract:

------The Event is staged by Queensberry Promotions Ltd and Matchroom Sport Ltd, on an equal 50:50 basis. All decisions regarding the event, including pricing and costs, must be mutually agreed.

-------The Event takes place in 2016 at the Manchester Arena.

--------Manchester Arena’s official ticketing partner, Eventim, receive the sole and exclusive ticketing rights for the event. No secondary ticket agents are permitted to be a sponsor, associate or partner of the event, such as StubHub and the like.

Flanagan could have fought Barroso, but he chose Derry. Now Crolla is a sure money maker, I would move on to a world stage. Vegas just paid Khan 13 mil, Crolla can do it if Khan can. Leave Flangan to make a mark that will sell this thing outside of Ireland.

Ridiculous statement and analogy. It took Khan many years to make that kind of payday. Amir made his Vegas debut about six years ago. He's had a bunch of fights in the States over the years which has helped build his profile and in a sense, he struck it lucky getting the Canelo payday. It was a fight he didn't deserve, at a weight he'd never fought at, against a challenger who wanted a soft touch.

There are no cash cows like Canelo at lightweight, nothing close to it. Who would Crolla fight in Vegas for a big payday? Barthelemy? Mickey Bey? Linares, who no longer has a belt?

Flanagan-Crolla is the biggest fight for either of them and makes perfect sense. Big unification domestic battle in Manchester.

You just explained how to do it. Khan didn't get paid fighting the Brooks of the world at home.

50/50, with co-decision making of a Sky Box Office broadcast is a lot to ask, especially on an opening gambit, and I doubt that Matchroom even considers the offer.

                Only on Box Office?

Doesn't seem a big enough fight to be on PPV. Don't get me wrong, they're both good, but neither is exactly a household name. It would need a beasty undercard.
