His team has been saying the same thing. Ward turned them down when they were available, then they turned him down because of DL and Canelo/Cotto situation.

Golovkin himself has refused to talk about Ward ever since his June 15 interview when he said "As a man, you are dead to me".
Notice how he talked about Froch & Canelo. He was basically calling them both cowards. When it came to Ward he repeated the company line. " They offered us the fight after the Lemeiux fight was made ". The question I've been waiting on any journalist to ask is " We know that but they weren't offering you to fight Ward instead of Lemiuex. They offered a fight for later down the road. The same offer was presented to Kovalev when he had a fight scheduling scheduled and he accepted the offer " When it comes to JCC Jr, Canelo, Froch, hell even Jacobs in this interview, everything is straight forward. When it comes to Ward they get nuanced and repeat the company line

his promotional company could be a force if they manage to attract the top kazakh and central asian talents coming out of the olympics, WSB, etc., in the next couple of years

do you have Aspergers Syndrome or something? How many times does it need to be explained to you?

Kovalev gave up nothing by accepting the deal. If it happens, great, if it doesnt happen, great. It didnt cost him anything. GGG on the other hand would have had to give up his Canelo mando spot, and also would have been stripped of the IBF belt. It would have been a ******ed move to make.

I swear sometimes this place reminds me of my 6 year old nephew who sticks his fingers in his ears and says "la la la la I cant hear you!!!!"

Again, no. He didn't say anything about Ward. His team did.

Golovkin himself has steadily refused to talk about Ward since early 2015. They spoke relatively well about each other 2013-2014 (with latest being jan 2015, then they started talking crap about each other (example: feb 2015.. after that, the mysterious negotiations with HBO took place, during which (according to GGG), HBO told them that they will need a long time to build up a fight. During these negotiations, Ward said he's not ready, so Golovkin moved on.
After these negotiations, Ward continued to talk **** about Golovkin, culminating with Golovkin giving that interview in Russian, saying he's dead to me.
Ward continued to talk crap, including going on his 'lil g' rant in Sept 2015.

Golovkin doesn't say anything about Ward. Since those negotiations, he [personally] hasn't said a damn thing about Ward. All he's done is shake his head, and say 'i have nothing to say about that man'. Even in this interview that you're discussing, the only thing Golovkin has done is:

"Gennady himself does not want to speak on this subject, noting that Ward has long 'lost face' by showing his demeanor and by descending to insults and false accusations."

Please show me where the WBC would've stripped him of his mando spot. The confirmed before and after the fight that Khan was still the mando for Garcia. The same situation GGG would've been in. I keep seeing that lie repeated with nothing to back it up. Even it that were the case (which is wasn't) for the sake of argument. During that same period Team GGG were still saying they'd fight Froch or Floyd. So they were willing to give up the mando spot for Froch or Floyd? Continuing for the sake of argument....If you say yes, because those are big money fights, then you'd have to agree that K2 has been lying about unification being the main goal, right? They've repeatedly said unification is the main goal but would move up/down for a big fight. Going by your statement that moving up or down would remove him from the mando spot (which is a lie) that would mean unification isn't the main goal, right?

I bet you any amount that it sold 4x more PPV's then Lemuix/GGG.

I'm sure all those ppl there were there to watch GGG sit in his seat and eat popcorn. Smh.

Sometimes you sound like you know what your talking about others you go full RTARD!
I was at the fight, it was not almost sold out. I was a bit surprised by that being that it was Cinco De Mayo weekend, new tmobile arena and its Canelo, the face of boxing after May/Pac. The Mexicans are definitely behind Canelo, casual fans not yet.

Good interview, but did not say anything I didn't think he would say.

The only thing that is quite obvious is that he has ZERO intention and never had any of fighting Ward. I think he knows loses to him. It's sort of obvious how he talks about Ward.
