Fact: Khan lost by knockout with no count

khan - you lost by knockout with no count
the boxing governing bodies should prohibit you from further competition
from a fans point of view - you are just a liar puffing up your skillset that is demolished once you set foot in the ring.
    you lost
your mandatory - which is a joke is with danny Garcia who also previously knocked you out. why would a fan pay to see this to give you money? I wouldn't pay for canelo - I periscoped it for free
you have been shut down and are no longer relevant

to Khan's defence, as he does have some kind of following, he has never called out bums.

he could easily have gone after easy vacant titles, etc, just like Cotto has done ever since he got KO'd by Margarito.

Khan hasn't gone after any of those interim or vacant belts, so for that I give him credit.

whether he can win a title against a top WW is another question, but if i were him, i'd have him look after his health first. he has made very very good cash and potentially doesn't need to fight anymore.

This is code for, "I'll go back to fighting guys with no power, to build my confidence back up".

I genuinely think it doesn't mean that much to him. He took a fight where he knew he'd get KO'd if he made a mistake. He made a mistake and got KO'd. He's $13 million dollars better off for going to work despite knowing it was going to be a hard day.

From a self esteem perspective what a lot of people loose site of with Amir is that he values perseverance, hardworking effort and balls above all else. We could make a case that he's deluding himself in the latter because he refuses to fight Brook but he isn't as delusional as he gets painted on here.

Rather he doesn't buy into what is a primarily American value where only the outcome is accepted as the basis for self esteem. It hasn't affected his conception of self because he stepped up to the challenge and tried his best. That's what he values. Plus, despite how two judges had it he was outboxing Canelo. When he moves down in weight he can take that as a positive. He won't be fighting anyone as hard hitting again and he won't be draining himself as he did at those lower weights where he was stopped previously.

Now I don't buy into those last sentiments and here we can say that he's a little deluded but what fighter doesn't delude themselves?

Although it won't have much of an affect on his self esteem, at some point in the near future he could do with sitting down and thinking about the effect that being put out cold could have on him physically. If his punch resistance is to decline because of it then even clever matchmaking won't stop him from getting stopped again.

Well, he should be proud, it will likely be KO of the year and a boxing highlight reel for many years to come

Cotto didn't avoid any punches after the loss to cheato, in fact, his resume is better from a competition standpoint, including a win in the rematch, no matter what people may think of cheatos eye. He got what he deserved in mosley and Manny beating the absolute piss out of him.

Cotto doesn't get knocked out cold, so please with the excuses for khan, especially comparing him to an ATG.
