Yeah, because everybody knows Golovkin is a real trash talker.
How about Kovalev? I suppose he's all hype too because he hasn't fought Adonis Stevenson. Since you're American I suppose you think Wilder and Thurman are killers huh? With a resume like Wilder and Thurman's, Paulie Malignaggi would look like Mike Tyson.
    Sorry brah, but you DNSAB.

If he does fight at 160 win or lose he deserves mad respect.
This is just total bull****. Why a boxer would deserve "mad respect" for obeying the rules of boxing by honoring the mandatory challenge to his title only after multiple voluntary defenses at a catch weight is beyond me.
If anything, Canelo and Golden Boy have disgraced boxing by delaying the mandatory while grumbling about not being a true middle weight. In that case, Canelo should never have fought for the middleweight title or upon winning it, he should have immediately vacated if he had no intention of defending it against actual middleweights at the middleweight limit.

      Once again, you sir DKSAB.

Canelo's going to eat that jab, most def. I have a feeling GGG will also probably display other facets of his skill set when needed. Many people are sleeping on Golovkin's ring IQ. He's not just a slow-footed power puncher. Team Canelo knows this all too well. Otherwise the fight would've been held last Saturday.

Many are aware of what has been going on and are tired of the BS. I like Canelo but fed up with his diva BS. I'm so glad Kellerman, Khan, and pretty much everyone else called him out after the fight. Golden Boy may not want to risk their cash cow, but I think Canelo is finally fed up of people talking **** about him and the pride is kicking in. Good. We need this fight ASAP.

          Welcome btw !

I make it a point of welcoming all the " new " alt's

You " I love GGG " accounts sure have been crawling out of the woodwork the last few months.

Nah, that's bull****..... other than the fact that Canelo should have dropped the strap..... but then again, so should Cotto, and the WBC sanctioned those 2 JMW's for the middleweight strap..... so?

The point he was making is..... IF Canelo moves up to middleweight and fights a beast like Golovkin at 160, having never fought above 155, then that definitely deserves some respect.

            And he is obviously right.

IF that happened..... then guys like Ward, Khan, and Canelo would definitely deserve respect for taking the kind of fights that Golovkin refuses to take, despite all his prior claims/promises.

              Yeah, great logic there.

                • In past fights, Canelo could get out boxed, out landed all night and still get a decision.

In this fight, there will be no robbery, no bias, no judging issues.

Canelo is even getting dropped multiple times, or Ko'd.

I wonder how far it would go. I think it doesn't go past 9 rounds at most.

Btw, if Sergio Martinez had just retired as champion back then and not faced Cotto, what would have happened to the lineal championship?? Who would have contested for the WBC middleweight championship? We probably wouldn't be in this mess right now.

This^. GGG does have the ability to adapt to his opposition. It should be an interesting fight. They're both vulnerable and both have knock out power. I don't think Canelo has been hit by anyone of late with the punching power of GGG. Kirkland tried to mall him but never really connected. GGG is very accurate. Can't wait for this fight to happen. BTW new here and just my 2 cents. Been boxing fan for a long time and love the discussion. Thanks.
