Comments Thread For: Mlaignaggi Explains Why He Feels Khan is A lot Better Than Hatton

Former world champion Paulie Malignaggi believes Amir Khan should be given the same respect in Britain as Ricky Hatton, insisting Khan is the superior fighter of the two.

Not surprising Malignaggi had a real dislike for Hatton, after running his mouth about Hatton being unskilled he got completely outboxed by him.

      His opinion

I got Hatton and Khan even stevens on my list

both took risks, both won world titles, both beat some solid names, both had the balls to go abroad and fight in peoples backyards

Unlike Kell Brook, who avoided many boxers, then finally stepped to the plate and went in to hibernation for another 2 years.

Good luck convincing anyone of that, Hatton may have had his flaws but he knew how to maximize on his strengths unlike Khan.

I like Amir's spirit but I'd worry for his safety vs Kostya and even JLC.

Hell..make it simple. I think Khan loses to Hatton and probably by stopage. Ricky had some ass quick feet and was ferocious. Khan wouldnt be able to get away from him. If you can't get away from Algieri or Lamont and they're laying it in you...thennnn...yeah.

Sorry, Paulie. Khan should try to get into the olympics again. Seriously..not a bad idea for him or his country

agreed. AFter he lost to Hatton he blamed his trainer and has always discredited him. That was a more prime version of Paulie as well compared to the one Khan beat

Hatton is held in higher regard than Con for his opposition level. Hattons win over Kostya Zyu trumps anything Khans done, even his 147 credentials were better than Khans currently...timing is everything and facing and beatn fighters while they were top rated will always get a better rating than facing them after they arent.

hatton at 140 would wreck khan..love paulie's view on lots of things, but on this one i cant rock...

hatton have just as fast feet..he wouldnt take step back and he'd unleash mean shots to the body..khan would be wore by round 4.

Two warriors and both good men, would have been an epic fight.

What 147 credentials does Hatton have? Who did he beat there? Collazo?
