Or has the T-Mobile Arena replaced as the mecca of boxing in Vegas?
Will the MGM Grand Garden Arena host any big fight?

The only reason Floyd had all his fights there was because Haymon had some a shiesty side deal where he got complete control over the tickets.
I always did wonder if Floyd got z piece of that action, or if it all went into haymons pocket. I never got the feeling Floyd had any clue what Haymon was doing or why.
There's really no reason for big fights to constantly be there. Hopfully boxing gets away from the casinos. Casino boxing is terrible. Very few real boxing fans at those fights,Last edited by AddiX; 05-09-2016, 04:29 PM.Comment

The T-Mobile Arena is a 20k-seat venue, the MGM Grand seats 16,500 at capacity, and Mandalay Bay can seat 12k at capacity; Thomas and Mack Center can apparently seat 20k, but it being off The Strip lessens the interest in staging events there. The T-Mobile Arena, MGM Grand, and Mandalay Bay EC are all owned by MGM Resorts.
Very few showdowns are big enough and draw the public interest to warrant needing 20k seats; Cotto-Alvarez and likely some of the heavyweight showdowns (Fury/Klitschko-Wilder, Wilder-Joshua being the first to come to mind).
The MGM Grand being the "home of Floyd Mayweather" will likely dissuade some folks from using the building, but the MGM Grand is likely to stay on as the main boxing venue, with folks scaling up (T-Mobile Arena) or down (Mandalay Bay EC) based on the expected interest in the fight.Comment
