Comments Thread For: Lucas Matthysse's Return Being Planned By Golden Boy
The last we saw of Lucas Matthysse he was on the losing end of a tenth round TKO at the hands of Viktor Postol for the vacant WBC 140-pound title last October in Carson.
I would absolutely love to see Gomez vs Matthysse, although Gomez wants to compete at 140 and Matthysse says he's moving up to 147, maybe they can agree to a reasonable catchweight.

Yeah I would LOVE to see that eventually not sure if Gomez is ready now but maybe another fight or 2 for him would be great before Matthysse
vamos lucas!! i do believe he can still be competitive, not so sure about the move at 147 lbs though
I believe he's doing it because the money is at 147... but he also said he was having some trouble to make 140. But after he lost to Postol, he said he was on weight days before the fight. So to me it has to be money.. which means that his run at 147 will probably suck.

That is the fight to make. Gomez will never make 140, despite what Freddie wants.

Pd: que peteada tener que hablar en ingles jaja
i thought he was kinda drained before the postol fight, at the weigh in. he's been making 140 lbs for a long time now. hope we can see a change in his corner at least
