Are they suppose to make fights on triple G schedule?

      GGG-Jacobs
Canelo-Lemiuex in the fall of 16 is what I want.

Then let's get Canelo-GGG in May of next year

Jacobs fought one minute in December. The fight between him and Andy Lee could have happened in April or May. There's no reason for Jacobs to be on this bench until August.

They were naturally already on the same schedule.

Ok.. Danny Jacobs is now going to fight on July 30th huh! This dude come fight night it would have a 8 months break.. smh..
IF he is fighting on July 30th then no way he can be ready by Aug/Sep for GGG's next fight.. The WBA should chime in as soon as the Canelo deal is off else DJ vs GGG would not happen this year..

BJS backed out of his April 31st fight & speculation is that he faces Eubank Jr again in a co-main event/undercard on Klitschko v Fury 2.. So he won't be available for Aug/Sep..

So if the above options are ruled out, then we are back to mandatories for GGG & people will keep ridiculing him for that..

Don't understand the long layoff. He got a 1st round KO in December and barely broke a sweat. He should've quickly requested another fight at least in march. No reason to sit out so long.

Per the Ruckus podcast, Haymon wanted Danny back in the ring already but Jacobs wanted to take all this time off to spend with his family. He fought 45 seconds vs Quillin, and three months earlier fought <2 rounds vs Mora. He has a hard time cutting weight to 160. I could see him saying he's had enough at 160, accomplished his dreams of becoming The Champion, and now he's moving up to 168 and needs a half dozen tune-ups.

So how does this work. If Jacobs wins he becomes the Super WBA 160 and Lil'G gets demoted to WBA regular champ and still has a "regular" belt?

Very practical. How Loeffler grow some and offer BJS a proper purse

Good, Jacobs is probably the toughest fight available for Golovkin at 160. Which isn't saying much.

But I hope this doesn't mean that Golovkin is being unreasonable in the negotiations with Canelo. He should make whatever concessions he has to in order to get that fight.

Canelo will force WBC to strip him, he will "retain" Oscar's lineal belt at 160 and he will still pretend that he is willing to fight GGG... any day, some day...
