I doubt the GGG/Canelo fight happens this year if at all, so this fight should be next.

No no no. Canelo said he isn't scared. Take him up on it or make him vacate that belt like you said he should.Thhen worry about fighting someone else. No one but the ginger should be on your radar after Saturday night

Also, Jacobs shouldn't be out this long either. He won in the first round in his last fight. If I was him or his team I'd be in my second fight of 2016. I don't understand the long layoff. Even if it is against a tuneup

That is so weird. Jacobs knocked Quillin out in less than a round, took no damage and still hasn't fought or made any public comments about wanting a fight.

Meanwhile, Quillin (who hasn't fought since either) seems like the happiest man in the world after getting destroyed in one round. Its like he is free from getting asked about Golovkin or any other top guy.

Both guys were paid around 1.5M for that one round...The aftermath is a good argument for the "spoiled Haymon fighter complacency" theory.

Haymon is strategically putting Jacobs in fights and on dates that dont line up with a GGG fight so they can continue to operate and exist in a reality where they pretend there is no Gennady Golovkin.

This is a good fight, and a better business move. If Canelo vacates, and K2 can influence HBO to do business with Haymon, then there could be a pipeline for GGG for all those 154 champs to fight GGG, i.e. Lara and the Charlo Bros.

There were talks of him vs BJS, right? It just seems odd that he's been on the shelves since then. I don't get it at all.

Quillin I think is truly relieved. No ggg, no other major bouts. He made his money and he's content, imo.

If anyone was spoiled, it was quillin no doubt
