Oscar: I'll teach Mayorga a lesson!
      By Karl Freitag

"Mayorga's gotten under my skin, but he hasn't gotten in my head," Oscar De La Hoya said today. The Golden Boy said he has sparred 130 rounds and "feels really strong and really fast" for his May 6 "Danger Zone" bout against WBC junior middleweight champion Ricardo Mayorga at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas. Mayorga's prefight comments have made Oscar highly motivated. "I want to teach this guy a lesson really bad....it's going to be one long night for him....whatever little games he is trying to play, he can't play them with me." Oscar commented that if he gets by Mayorga, he would like to end his career in a megafight against someone like Winky Wright, Floyd Mayweather Jr., or Tito Trinidad on September 16.[I] As for the possibility of GBP ever promoting Mayorga, Oscar stated "Mayorga is bad for boxing and he's crossed the line....insulting my family and heritage. As a promoter I wouldn't want him to be in our stable."

I doubt it's Winky, cuz he knows he could make much more fighting Tito or Floyd.
