The 4-1 Canelo scorecard was really poor.

There are always iffy scorecards, but there have been a few bad ones in recent weeks. One of the judges scoring the fight for Chisora on Saturday was bad.

As were the DeGale Vs Medina and Bute Vs Jack cards IMO.

And some ****** fans claiming that it's right as it is... wtf
The problem with trying to regulate judges is that it's still a subjective task. You are brought in to score the fight the way you see it, within the rules of the sport. But it's still your opinion. You can't regulate opinion.

You can regulate the criteria that creates the opinion so it's more transparent. That's what should be done. But we don't need government for that.

The judge that had Canelo up 4 likely gave him every round except #1. Why? Canelo was the constant aggressor. Canelo was walking Khan down. Khan was missing shots. Khan was taking shots and wasn't moving his head. Khan was essentially "running" the majority of the time. I understand the score, even though I don't agree with it.

When Khan does it, people give him rounds, yet if Floyd does the same thing, they give it to the other guy ("he was the aggressor doe!"/"All Floyd did was run!").

Now we get a judge that scores for the constant aggressor and people are up in arms.

From where I was sitting, I had Canelo up 3 rounds to Khan's 2. Khan clearly dictated pace and was ring general in rounds 1 and 2 and started to falter in round 3, where Canelo started to walk Khan down and land more to the body. Khan's shots were not effective when he did connect. Canelo was walking right through them. But people were giving Khan rounds for ineffective touching. Come on.

3-2 Canelo is the right score. 3-2 Khan is a fair alternate score. Anything outside of that is bias, not corruption. We just need to evolve the scoring system. Should be an aggregate of all factors, not just a single number.

Effective Aggression (Regardless of punch type)
Ring Generalship/Dictate The Pace/Control The Distance
      Effective Defense
      Power Shots Landed
      Knockdown

So in other words if you're constantly connecting with a jab and keeping your opponent off you, and they're clearly getting affected with the jab to the point you're nullifying their offense, that's two categories. If you're throwing combinations constantly and connecting, that's three categories (mix of jabs and power shots plus pace dictating). If you pull a Broner in Round 12 against Porter and do a one piece knockdown that's three categories.

That way there's no dis*****g exactly why a judge scored a card the way they did and you clearly highlight where the points are going.

              3-2 Khan until the KO.

No way that it was 4-1 Canelo. Regardless of the KO, the fix was in. Canelo will NEVER lose on the cards again.

3-2 Canelo at the time of the fight stoppage with the 3rd round being very close and the tuning point of the fight for me.

Canelo in Vegas is going to be very hard to beat on the score cards the amount of Mexican fans is surreal there. And the noise they create for any of his shots is insane, judges feed into the crowd.

After round 2, it was clear Khan slowed down and was figured out and starting getting caught with hard shots. It was 3-2 Canelo and even in Khans vest rounds (1,2) he barely edged those out. Khan is a sub par boxer at best, if he can't overwhelm you, he is gonna get caught with big shots (Garcia, Peterson, Canelo, Maidana, etc.) I like Khan, but schizophrenic Atlas and all you Lil G groupies need your eyes checked. 3-2 Canelo, before the KO. DEAL WITH IT. #andstill

that is very true... as a poster you prove it periodically. green k sent.

you probably wondering how the insult and green k go hand in hand... they just do.

No one is celebrating. That was a ****** match up. Both men were there for the money. No glory received from both men.

Circus fight. That's all that is.
