I saw some articles claiming that Khan's chin isn't glass, that he just got caught with "...the same shot that dropped Paul Williams". This simply isn't true, from a strategy perspective.
Paul Williams made no mistake. He got caught exchanging at the same time. Same as Aldo/McGregor. But Martinez threw so wide Williams never saw it and wasn't squared up to take it.

What happened with Amir Khan is the same thing that Canelo always does in his fights, and one thing I think he does best in the business: he feints perfectly before throwing a loaded shot. He was body hunting from round 3 onward, which is what you're expected to do against a speed fighter.
I expected an uppercut afterwards, since that's what he usually does, I guess he saw more connect with an overhand. And what an overhand.
James Kirkland got dropped by the SAME exact technique.

Khan only focused on the feint because he thought it was more body work and didn't expect that kind of attack. It was a rookie mistake. Either Hunter didn't do homework from the Kirkland fight or Khan didn't listen to his corner. Same shot put him out. This was not a glass jaw KO. This was superior skill on the part of Canelo.

I really wish more fighters would use the feint technique. Nearly everyone not named Floyd Mayweather falls for it every time.
