I wouldn't have minded him saying this if it weren't damage control for his own brutal loss. With a $13M guarantee and the entire world expecting you to be viciously KO'd, you don't have much to lose. He'll most likely return to 147 and try to weasel his way into a big fight there.

Still though, he isn't wrong. Alvarez should fight Golovkin at 160 or give up his belt, and continue to negotiate for 155 since Golovkin is gonna want the check anyway. He's gonna remain a superstar regardless of the decision he makes, so let's get on with it already.

He was looking for a big fight and got offered $13million, of course he was going to take it. He was always going to get knocked out.

The guy blatantly ducking Brook shouldn't be talking about other fighters.
